Members of the South West Slopes Sub-Branch will be busy during August as they are scheduled to participate in commemorations for the anniversary of the Cowra Breakout on Wednesday, August 5.

Commencing at 8.30am at Squire Park, the morning will then incorporate additional ceremonies at the Cowra campsite, Doncaster Memorial, War Ceremonies and Garrison Gates to complete an impactful morning.
To follow the Breakout commemorations, their involvement will be to attend the RSL Victory in the Pacific Service on Saturday, August 15 at the Boorowa Hotel for their own August meeting, plus Annual General Meeting (commencing at 10.30am) on Sunday, August 16.
On Tuesday, August 18 a Sunset Service conducted by our local Vietnam veterans will start at 5pm. Members are advised that the South West Slopes personnel have been in invited to participate in a dinner after the service.
The cost per person is $15 and for catering purposes, they are to ring the Vietnam Veterans Hon. Sec. John Kelly on 6345 1994 to be included.
