Operation Christmas Child has seen shoeboxes packed with gifts sent to more than 125 million children since 1993, and this year Mulyan Public students have made their own contribution.
Year three students have packed shoeboxes full of goodies including jewellery, stickers, toys, clothes, pencils, soap and games. Under the watchful eye of organise and parent, Jane Joyce-Doolan, students carefully wrapped their shoeboxes in bright paper and included personalised notes and colouring-in pieces they completed.
The shoeboxes will now be sent to kids in Southeast Asia and the South Pacific from Australia and New Zealand. The Samaritan's Purse initiative is in full swing, with October national collection month.
Any schools interested in participating in the project are encouraged to contact Jane on 0411812155.
