Helped by fellow Mulyan Public School student Joshua Scheider, she just planted her first tree, thanks to Planet Ark and Toyota.
Kelly Hattenfels and Leisa Negus from Cowra Toyota were on hand along with principal John Smith to teach students how to respect and care for the environment by revegetating their school grounds as part of Schools Tree Day.
Each year over 250,000 people take part in National Tree Day events at 3000 sites around Australia organised by councils, schools, businesses, communities and Toyota dealers across the country.
2R teacher Ros Ryan and 5/6W teacher Lynette Wilson said the children were excited to be out of classroom learning with their hands.
"It's a practical way to beautify our school environment," Mrs Ryan said.
"It gives them an appreciation for the environment," Cowra Toyota's Leisa Negus added.
