Going into camp last Tuesday the Cowra Eagles stars made up a four-player Central West contingent joining Olivia Patterson (Orange) and Tash Watts-Tehiko (Dubbo), where they played four matches over three days.
Winning one match, the country girls finished sixth overall as their state rivals, Sydney, went through undefeated to claim the 2015 title.
Both girls played important roles for the Corellas with Fyfe, who is based in Lake Cargelligo, featuring in the front row and Visser showing her versatility shuffling from flanker to the centres early in the Championships.
After warm-up matches against both the ACT and Sydney, NSW Country again came up against the team from the nation's capital in the opening game of the Championships.
A 15-0 loss was followed by a 22-0 loss against Queensland but a 12-3 win over the Australian Services saw NSW Country still manage to qualify for the Plate Final.
They came up against Victoria there and the team from down south proved just too strong, winning a tight match 10-7.
While the Country girls couldn't manage to bring a title home Visser admitted it was a great time and an impressive effort.
"There was some tough opposition obviously Sydney they have a very strong competition there as well as Queensland, ACT and the Army girls," Visser said.
"It was nice [having Krystal Fyfe in the squad] she's a good mate and is fun to tour with. I knew a lot of the other girls from doing the circuit before," she said.
Sydney scored four unanswered tries in the final and went on to beat ACT 23-3.
The Championships act as a selection trial and an extended 40-person Wallaroos squad will be picked in the coming days as preparation begins for World Cup 2017.
Visser and and Fyfe will return the Eagles line-up for their up coming match next weekend.
