Barbara served on the Committee of the Country Club and was a great supporter of its activities, serving many volunteer hours.
The Bowls Day was an outstanding success, with all the greens full, teams made up of many local and visiting bowlers.
There to enjoy the day long activities were Barbara's son Jamie, his wife, Tania and daughter, Rosie from Perth. Barbara's sisters Margaret Duff and Sandra Chambers and their families were also in attendance.
Her widower, Lawrence competed in the bowls.
A delicious lunch was enjoyed by everyone. During the lunch it was announced that the memorial day will become an annual event on the Country Club calendar and speakers paid tribute to Barbara's work on behalf of the club.
Barbara lost her battle with cancer in January, 2014, after a short illness.
She was very grateful for the care and attention showed to her by the staff of the Cowra District Hospital.
