Another missed opportunity from the penalty spot has cost Cowra from opening their account in the Bathurst Football Association premier league after the Eagles were forced to share the spoils with an undefeated Lithgow Workies side on Sunday.

For the second time this season, the chance to snatch all three competition points went begging when Zac Kerr's late shot from the spot hit the post leaving the match all square at 1-all.
Considering Workies' preparation was three from three, Cowra coach Sean Leyland was understandably impressed with the result and also found the lighter side of the penalty situation after the match.
"We're getting there," he said.
"We probably should of won it but we missed another penalty. It was unlucky, it just didn't go in after hitting the inside of the post.
"That's two now, we missed one against Abercrombie FC which ended in a draw, maybe it's something we need to look at, maybe I'll take the next one," Leyland laughed.
Playing at Cowra's Edgell Park on Sunday, the second placed Lithgow Workies gained an early advantage to lead 1-nil at the break.
The switch of ends worked in Cowra's favour and a Brendan Mundy free-kick found the back of the net to level the scores.
Chances were continually made for the remaining exchanges but both sides respective goalkeepers kept their nets in tact despite Cowra's golden opportunity in the shadows of the second half.
"It was probably our best performance, this week and last week we have created plenty of opportunities and have been a lot more attacking," Leyland said.
"The goal we conceded came from a mistake again, we just got to cut out the little errors and take the chances when they come.
"It's a very even competition, there's a fine line between all the teams which is good for us," he said.
The Eagles have been dealt a blow with news winger Pat Buttigieg has torn his anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the rest of the season while Perry Wiegold is in doubt after pulling up with a hamstring complaint from the 1-all draw on Sunday.
This weekend the Eagles will host Panorama FC, the only side they haven't matched up with yet. The two teams were meant to meet in round three but the game was abandoned due to wet weather.
While Cowra are still yet to win a match, the confidence is there ahead of this weekend after two solid performances in the last fortnight.
"We're more confident heading into this round then we have been," Leyland said.
"We have plenty of guys in reserves knocking on the door so depth isn't a problem. We haven't played them [Panormama FC] yet so we're really looking forward to it."
The Cowra Eagles first grade side take on Panorama FC at 3pm at Edgell Park on Sunday.
