Social media has been abuzz with questions and comments, outrage and indignation for the past few days, as there appears to be a growing sense of query about just what is happening in regards to the property.
Our impression from attending council meetings is that a report is due very, very soon, regarding the animal expert's visit to the site, but no word yet officially on what the outcome could be.
That report will be a vital step to decide the future of the property and its inhabitants - and that important point for all to remember, the correct and legal procedure.
Don't forget, the RSPCA says it has investigated the property and cleared it - quoted in a Cowra Guardian story earlier this year - although then added the situation wasn't ideal.
It did say it would continue to monitor the situation - no update on this yet.
This council report is the next avenue of procedure and must take the right steps, even if it seems tortuously slow to some.
If things aren't done correctly and legally here, the whole sad situation may just be on repeat elsewhere.
It's absolutely essential that these claims and counter claims be investigated properly for both the welfare of ALL the animals and people involved.
Let's not forget too, that report will cost Cowra ratepayers thousands of dollars, so we want it to be worth its weight in gold, so to speak, and a final answer.
As soon as we hear more about the report, be assured, we will let you know.

PS. Congratulations from us, Dylan on such an incredible achievement.
A family friend also wished to point out the support of Dylan's family, especially his grandparents, Noeleen and Duncan White.
Country kids can go anywhere - never forget that.
