The It's Happening in Cowra initiative has seen shop windows filled with Anzac Day tributes, from handcrafted poppies, to knitting needles and even Anzac biccies.
Old photos have stopped pedestrians in their tracks as they spy faces of long-fallen friends.
Vietnam veteran Kerry Damm practically cleaned out his closet to help local businesses with their displays.
Mr Damm, who was a driver in the war, said it fills him with pride to see his uniforms and mini medals on display.
"Someone said [my uniform] is in such good condition, I must never have worn it," Mr Damm laughed.
"It makes me feel really good to see [the main street] like this. There's always small Anzac displays around but I've never seen one like this."
Julie Collins was the mastermind behind the display in Inside Out's window.
She said the addition of photos from their own collection and family medals was particularly poignant.
"There's a photo in there of my grandson Jack with his great-grandfather. I unearthed a lot of history doing this," she said.
In her research, she even discovered a great-uncle who died at Gallipoli.
"It was incredible what I found once I started looking," she said.
