The Magpies showed plenty of discipline in the rain during their 12 point victory over Bathurst Panthers where they opened their account for 2015.
It was a professional display by Cowra and seeing Warren Williams breaking the line after a short pass from Jack Nobes brought back memories of the Tim Holman and KJ Wood combination from 2014 that caused so much damage.
There was plenty of positives and Cowra will take confidence from that heading to Wade Park.
Hawks have struggled in the opening two rounds losing convincigly to CYMS and Blayney however they return home for the first time this year.
The two blues will also be boosted by the return of prop Arty Shead and also the first appearance of Mitch Davis, a highly rated front-rower from Group 9 club Albury, who was an automatic inclusion in the Group 10 squad.
The match is set to begin at 3pm.
