Set on the beautiful grounds of II Campanile di Cowra, Frencham Smith, a highly acclaimed contemporary folk duo, will be performing in a style of evening reminiscent of "A Day on the Green."
Kicking off at 6pm on February, Saturday 14, Cowra Arts Council has worked hard to find a class act to cater to all tastes.
The evening will begin with entertainment from Luke Campbell and Jamie Hibberson before the headline act.
The Imperial hotel will be suppling the bar facilities and there will be a variety of amazing food to be purchased on the night supplied by Vincent Trevino from the Old Cowra Bakery and II Campanile di Cowra.
Bring a picnic rug, blankets or a chair and simply sit back and enjoy an evening of music.
Tickets for the over 18s event are available at Cowra Tourist Information Centre.
Frencham Smith have been performing for more than 10 years together. Liz Frencham originally studied jazz at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and was part of the successful Sydney jazz trio Jigzag. There is a spell-binding richness and lyricism to her voice, and in her hands the sound of the double bass has extraordinary depth and sensitivity.
Fred Smith is an extraordinary singer/songwriter and an acclaimed performer in his own right.
His songs reflect wry observations of human nature; our triumphs, our failures and moments of fun. In his spare time he works as a diplomat for our Department of Foreign Affairs and it was his time in Afghanistan that prompted him to write the award winning album "Dust of Uruzgan". He was recently featured on an episode of Australian Story, "The Sapper's Lullaby."
