Based on the long-running stage show of the same name and directed by Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, Jersey Boys tells the rags-to-riches story four young men from New Jersey who rise to the top of the American music industry.
The Cowra Musical and Dramatic Society (M&D) is proud to present Jersey Boys as the final community cinema screening of 2014.
"I saw the stage show in Sydney in 2011 and just loved it," M&D spokesperson Lawrance Ryan said.
"When the movie version was released earlier this year I thought that it could never capture the excitement of the live production, but I was wrong!"
The M&D is proud to bring Jersey Boys to the Cowra and invites everyone to come to a special one-off screening at the Cowra Civic Centre this Sunday December 28.
Tickets are priced at just $10 for adults and $8 concession and are available at the door. Soft drinks, tea, coffee and light refreshments will also be available from the candy bar.
By special request Cowra's own master showman Ernie Burgers will be performing hits from the 60's live in the Civic Centre foyer from 1.30pm.
"This is a wonderful, feel-good movie that tells the story and showcases the songs of one of the world's most instantly recognisable pop bands. The Cowra M&D is delighted to bring Jersey Boys to the Civic Centre as a special festive season treat," Lawrance said.
