The plant - worth more than half a million dollars - will provide drinking water for the park's visitors for the first time.
Ms Hodgkinson said providing water to this standard would improve the visitor experience, supporting the local tourist economy in general.
Work began on the plant in May as a part of $12 million worth of utility upgrades and renewals program at seven inland state parks across NSW.
Melbourne company AquaManage Environmental won the tender to build the plant, which will provide potable water to Australian Drinking Water Standards, currently not available at the park.
