Featuring the most talented singers, dancers and musicians in NSW public schools, School Spectacular will be held at the Qantas Credit Union Arena at Darling Harbour (formerly known as the Sydney Entertainment Centre) in four shows on November 28 and 29.
This year 3600 students from 400 NSW public schools will perform, with 1300 in the choir, 80 in the orchestra and 2000 dancers. 2014 marks the 31st year for Schools Spectacular, with the theme for this year "This is Australia".
Bangarra Dance Theatre is specially choreographing the dance to be performed by the Aboriginal Ensemble to Christine Anu's song "My Island Home".
Schools Spectacular will be broadcast on Channel 9 - check TV programs for dates and times.
The 10 Cowra High students will be joined by another eight from Mulyan Public School who are also in the Aboriginal Dance Ensemble.
The excited group left Cowra on Sunday, November 23, for four days of rehearsals prior to the two performance days.
