Is Kendal Street in Cowra to be ruined?

This is a photo of Cowra's Kendal Street taken many years ago! The shape and style of the cars indicate this!

I arrived in Cowra in 1948. At that time, my husband Doug Jackson owned a large bakery and cafe in the double-storied building. We lived upstairs over that shop.

The town was very busy and there were no empty shops as you can see by the number of parked cars. Yes we do now have arcades however there are many closed shops.

Should our Council go ahead with gardens up the centre of Kendal Street? I feel more people will shop online or go to Young where there are no closed shops.
