The project, which is sponsored by Arts NSW has three directors, Alison Plevey, Adam Deusien and Alison Buckley, each of whom will work with their own smaller group within the production.
The United Fusion group, who will work directly with Ms Buckley come from local area school, St Raphael's, Cowra High School and Canowindra High School.
"We have a broad age range in this group, our youngest is 11 and our oldest is 17," Ms Buckley said.
"Adam's group are students from CSU and Alison Plevey's students range between 14 and 20."
The project aims to identify a number of social issues, examining the nature of the collective, juxtaposed by the exploration of isolation socially, emotionally and as regional young people - even geographically.
"The work asks a number of questions," Ms Buckley said.
"It asks how does it feel to be part of a group?"
"Why do we hunger to be part of a collective?"
"Is it better to be an individual or do you risk isolation?"
The project is in its early stages, however performances are only eight weeks away.
The group will perform twice in Bathurst and twice in Cowra.
"We have done a few days of intensive training with our own group, and we will hold some more training days with the whole group closer to the date, said Ms Buckley.
The performances in Cowra will be held at the POW campsite on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22.
