"While numbers might have been a little less than we had hoped, those businesses in attendance are very committed to building on the success of last year," said Cowra Tourism Event Planner Caddie Marshall.
Retailers are looking forward to the same size, if not bigger crowds and will be stocking up accordingly.
"We already have stallholders booking in. There are plans to have twice the capacity for stalls this year which means a fabulous array of Christmas gifts and treats for everyone," said Ms Marshall.
The meeting achieved several key objectives for this year's working committee.
Retailers confirmed the Millionaires Draw should be on again and will be contributing to make it as enticing as possible.
"Cowra Tourism is happy to organise the entire event with a Committee of fantastic volunteers. All we ask retailers and local businesses to do to support the annual Christmas Night Market is donate something to make the Millionaires Giveaway a bonza raffle."
The Working Committee has taken on feedback from last year's event and are making improvements. A new Site Plan has been developed and the drawing of the Millionaires Giveaway will not be so drawn out.
Kendal Street will be blocked off from Brisbane Street down to and incorporating the Imperial Hotel with only one stage for live entertainment.
The group also discussed the prospect of renaming the Millionaires Draw and are seeking feedback from the community for a rename of the raffle.
The mechanics of the prize draw will remain the same, with shoppers receiving an entry ticket for any transaction over $10 spent with participating retailers in the lead up to the Market on Friday 12 December.
The prize will be drawn at the Christmas Night Market and the winner will have to be in the crowd.
"Cowra Tourism's aim is for the Christmas Night Market to become a tradition for all the family to enjoy. It's very different to Harvest in the Park with an entirely different demographic in mind," said Cowra Tourism Manager Arabella Fingleton.
"If people within the region are getting into the habit of driving to Cowra for special events, Cowra Tourism hopes this increased exposure will turn into an increase in dollars for the entire business community."
Cowra Tourism says businesses involved will benefit from marketing and advertising which would be equal to $20,000 in value during the promotion of the event.
