President Bev Rolfe welcomed everyone and introduced the Cowra U3A Tai Chi Group who commenced the afternoon with Moving Stillness, Tai Chi Fan. The red fans looked fantastic against the black outfits and the simple moves impressed everyone.
The Compere for the day, Joy Bonner then introduced two of Lisa Flanagan’s pupils, Zoe Budge and Molly Maxwell who entertained the audience with some wonderful songs. It was then onto the parade of fashions from Millers Cowra.
The models, all U3A members and their families were Beverley Rolfe, Helen Moon, Mona Cooper, Robyn Ambachtsheer and her daughter Letitia Ambachtsheer, Joyce Death and her daughter-in-law Cindy Death and Cindy’s daughter Ivy Warn. Each model presented five different outfits commencing with some fabulous casual clothes and finishing with some glamorous outfits to wear on a night out.
Joy did a wonderful job describing all the outfits and giving insights in to the models.
Val Kennedy provided a piano accompaniment to the parade.
The two girls sang again at the mid point of the parade and Pauline McAllister entertained with some jokes and the presentation of the lucky seat prizes.
At the conclusion of the parade Bev thanked Millers for providing the fashions, all the models for the wonderful job they did. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to Joy, Val and Pauline and thank you gifts to our youngest model Ivy and to Robyn’s grandson Tailor who did a wonderful job opening and closing the door for the models.
The winners of the Miller’s gift vouchers were Betty Munring and Cath Corbin.
