Camping will be at the shady show ground with all general amenities, come kick back and enjoy some nice scenery.
The Lachlan Endurance Riders Club (LERC) have taken up the task with locals from the Blayney/Carcoar area.
This ride will cater to the young, the old, the slow, the fast with a 20km, 40km and 80km distance available.
Don't be scared off if you are not a member! All riders are welcome as day memberships are available for $5 for the 20km event, $10 for the 40km event and if you are planning on doing many a year you can pay $50
(NSWERA) and this covers the whole year.
For those who would like to try the social ride distance of 20kms, the entry fee is $30. Be warned it's a lot of fun and can become addictive.
The social ride is about meeting people, enjoying nice scenery, educating young horses perhaps or just going for a ride in the bush, the apt name social holds much meaning. Starting time for the 20km event is 10am Sunday morning.
Maybe horse and rider would like to try the training ride distance of 40kms? Great way to step your horse up to the next level or to simply enjoy a longer ride. Again lovely sandy trails, some hills and beautiful bush lands. Entry fee is $55. Starting time for the 40km event is 7am Sunday morning.
The 80kms event is the highlight of the weekend with placings to 3rd & fittest horse awards being presented upon completion in 4 different divisions. Successful riders/horses will receive a LERC completion buckle and have chances at other prizes as will those in the shorter distanced events. As well as walking away with an amazing sense of achievement. Start time for the 80km event is 5am Sunday morning.
Helmets must be worn by all riders. Please feel free to check out www.nswera.asn.au and scroll to find the starting out guide if you are interested in the involvements of endurance riding; for some pointers on what to expect at a ride or ask one of our committee members listed below any questions you may have.
Pre ride vetting will be on Saturday between 12:30pm and 5pm for all 3 distances. Those entering the 20km social ride can choose to enter on the Sunday morning, vetting between 8am and 9:30am, pre ride talk 9:45am.
