The Board of Management of the Cowra Information & Neighbourhood Centre Inc. is continuing to work through the challenges of keeping community services in Cowra through the many changes to government funding processes. Over the past year the volunteer CINC Board has donned its armour and taken up a number of fights on behalf of the Cowra community to ensure services are retained in Cowra. The current progression of transitional changes in government funding models has created a pathway of unknowns for the future of community services and the aim of the Board has been to ensure that no current services are lost from Cowra and that CINC continues to be able to provide more services to the Cowra community.

Also during the past year, the Board has implemented a number of new programs to the services of CINC. These have included the Stepping On program, the Stronger Together Program on behalf of NSW Carers, Crafty Kids workshops through our auspice organisation Chance's Clothing Project, Carers Support group for children with challenging behaviours, supporting the Miyan Munga organisation and, most recently, supporting the United Fusion program.
In addition to this, the Board has successfully applied for funding to expand our current services including additional funding to shorten waiting lists for the Home Maintenance program, the implementation of the Aboriginal Bus Service and the implementation of the Villages bus service to support socially isolated people in the Cowra surrounds.
The Board continues to advocate on behalf of the Cowra community and is currently working with State and Federal Government to improve transport services to senior members of our community and Veterans. The Board assures the community that it will continue the fight to improve these services to the best of its ability.
The CINC Board would like to thank CINC's dedicated staff and volunteers for their hard work and determination through what has been a period of continual change. They would also like to thank CINC's loyal members who continue to support the organisation. Lastly, the Board would like to thank the following departments and organisations for their continued funding and support of CINC; Australian Government Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet & the Department of Health & Ageing; The NSW Government Family & Community Services; Transport for NSW & Department of Health; NEC Broadband for Seniors; NSW Carers and Greater Western Area Health and Cowra Shire Council. Without the support and funding of these government and private organisations CINC would not be able to continue to serve the Cowra community.
