Cowra's Water Treatment Plant is expected to be back in operation later tonight after it was shutdown by a major pump failure.
The pump failure occurred late Thursday afternoon and forced Cowra Council to source a replacement pump.
"I advise that the replacement pump has arrived in Cowra and Council staff have commenced the process of installation," Cowra Council general manager Paul Devery said.
"All going well it is expected the water treatment plant will be restarted this evening and normal water production resumed."
