<description><![CDATA[Those waiting for mobile coverage at Wyangala may finally have a date for the long anticipated mobile 
tower. 
Wyangala Waters State Park manager Peter Brown said communications giant Optus had told him an Optus tower would be in operation in the area by the end of the summer, which would service both the village and the park.

<description><![CDATA[Two suspicious fires ripped through the Town House Hotel Motel in Cowra early yesterday morning causing the evacuation of guests and numerous ‘000’ calls from worried locals.
Cowra Fire Brigade received the call at 2.53am on Tuesday morning with reports of smoke billowing from the roof of the motel just down the road from their own fire station.

premiership on Saturday in Forbes. 
Played in atrocious conditions with driving rain and a howling wind, the Cowra boys were looking to become the first Cowra junior team in memory to win a Central West competition.

<description><![CDATA[Junior soccer is set for a finals day this weekend that rivals a World Cup line-up. As last weekend’s finals were postponed due to wet weather, the Committee has decided that the finals and grand finals will be played on the same day, this Saturday. 
All teams already in the grand finals should be at the ground well before their game times. Winners of the morning finals games will play their second game, the grand final, from 10.50am.

The attack occurred as the owners were walking with the leashed animal in North Cowra.

<description><![CDATA[Despite ominous dark clouds, rain and a lot of mud families still came to the 64th Annual Woodstock Memorial Show last Sunday.
Crowds were down at the traditional Father’s Day event due to weeks of rain across the shire but for those who did attend there was a full day of events on offer.
The Vintage Tractor Pull was well attended with the youngest competitor, 12-year-old Dan Friend, back to compete in his third year at the event.
