Excellent numbers for swimming

17/11/2008 10:08:00 AM
The Cowra Stingrays continue their 60th anniversary season at the aquatic centre on Tuesday night.

The club has been enjoying excellent numbers this season especially in the junior ranks.

The move to abolish the 33 metre races in favour of the extended 25 metre program for our junior swimmers has been a success with more children taking on all four strokes.

Timekeepers

Timekeep ers for this week are to be provided by the Smith (CA), Hart, Trengove, Hannan, Grant, Gooley and Heilman families.

If you can’t fulfil your timekeeping duties please find a replacement.

The following week some of our parents will be taking part in the timekeeping officials course. These parents will be required to fill out registration forms this week with Amber to become registered members of Swimming NSW.

There is no cost involved as the club will be paying your registration fees.

If you have not filled out a registration form please see Amber on Tuesday night.

Bargain club gear

As of this Tuesday the club will have a box of bargain buys that might make good stocking fillers for Christmas. Everything in the box is $5. See Amber, Mandy or Leanne to make your purchase.

Committee meeting

The next meeting of the Stingrays committee will be held on Wednesday starting at 6.30pm at the Cowra Services Club.
