01 Sep 10 | The under 15s Magpies had high hopes of winning their final round match against Orange CYMS especially so when the game was transferred from Orange to Cowra due to wet grounds in Orange.
Unfortunately however, it wasn’t to be with the Cowra boys going down 30-20.
30 Aug 10 | Magpies smash Mudgee to set up grand final with Bathurst Panthers.
30 Aug 10 | Last Wednesday, 10 boys from the St Raphael’s school travelled down to Sydney to play in the state wide seven a side tournament.
25 Aug 10 | The Cowra Magpies under 15s blew away the Lithgow Storm in a very strong performance at Cowra on Saturday.
It was the last home game for the young Magpies before the finals and they enjoyed having the extra support that a home game brings.
The final score line was 58-8 with Cowra running in ten tries to two and converting nine of ten goals.

BATHURST Panthers have earned a week off and a shot at glory after defeating minor premiers Cowra in the Group 10 under 18s major semi-final on Sunday, 22-18.
In a high-class game of football that showed why both sides have occupied the upper reaches of the ladder all season, Panthers had a little bit too much composure in the big moments, and helped by a hat-trick of tries to centre Jake Davis they now find themselves in a grand final.

Orange Hawks have produced one of their best
performances of the season to beat Cowra Magpies 24-14 in the minor semi-final at Jack Arrow Oval, knocking the defending premiers out of the competition in the process.
20 Aug 10 | Despite winning the minor premiership, the Magpies under 18s will be the underdogs in their preliminary final with the highly fancied Bathurst Panthers side this weekend.
Can they win it though?
18 Aug 10 | At the start of the rugby league season the Magpies only had eyes on one thing.
They weren’t looking at making the grand final.
No.
They wanted to win it.
Three months later, they had finished fourth and were then knocked out of the semi-finals by the fifth-placed Orange Hawks.
16 Aug 10 | Cowra junior rugby league star Nick Wilkinson was once again selected in the Polding Catholic Primary NSW team.
The team competed at the NSW PSSA State Carnival at Griffith back in June.
The Polding team won the carnival and Wilkinson chosen, along with 33 other boys from 11 teams, to attend the NSW state training squad camp held at the Sydney Sports Academy, at Narrabeen in the July school holidays.

The blue and whites overpowered the division’s
defending premiers, Cowra Magpies, 24-10 in the preliminary semi-final at Jubilee Oval on Saturday.
16 Aug 10 | For the second week in a row the Orange Hawks have beaten the Cowra Magpies to set up a semi-final with Bathurst St Pats next Sunday.
The Hawks beat the Magpies 23-18, but not before some controversial refereeing calls, a sin-bin and even a send off.

Williams has a slight tear in his left hamstring and rates himself only a 30 per cent chance of taking the field this weekend.

Cowra Magpies received a double blow on Saturday after star halfback Joe Williams hobbled off injured in their 28-22 loss to Orange Hawks at Wade Park.
The two sides will meet again in the elimination semi-final at Sid Kallas Oval this weekend but the black and whites will face a nervous wait on Williams, who left the field in the 70th minute with a suspected injured ankle.

Since day one there have been floggings in rugby league at all levels; however there has been a rising trend of even the losers of a game scoring more then 20 points.
In fact, in 50 per cent of games in the Group 10 competition this season, a team has scored at least 20 points in a match and still wasn’t the victor.

It’s Warrick Davidson.
Davidson has been kept busy this season with plenty of tries being scored at Sid Kallas Oval.
Davidson has been keeping score for the Magpies since 1996, and has helped ensure that all fans at the game know exactly what the score line is at all times.
02 Aug 10 | For the first time in 2010 the Cowra Magpies recorded back-to-back wins, smashingd Bathurst St Pats 34-18 at Sid Kallas Oval on Saturday.
In a major confidence boost, the Magpies defeatedt a team higher than them on the ladder for the first time this season, and coach Ian Hindmarsh said the confidence in the team is growing.
