The Hens race was 63 birds entered by five fliers. The birds were released at 10am with the leaders homing at 12:18pm making excellent time considering the wind, returns were also good though scattered with 70 per cent home by ring off at 4pm.

As usual Cowra had a very pleasant day out at Grenfell last Sunday. To add to our enjoyment, two of our teams finished up as the highest scorers of the day.
Teams attended from Forbes Sport and Recreation Club, Forbes Golf Club, Burraga, Parkes, Bathurst, Grenfell, and Young.
26 Jul 10 | Four years ago, shooter Sam Medway won the $1000 Reliance Energy Sports Scholarship award.
He used the money to buy a brand new gun.
He then used that gun to win a world title.
Now his sister Jess will have the same chance.
14 Jul 10 | There are still plenty of tickets remaining for the Cowra Sportsperson of the Year awards night to be held on July 24 at the Cowra Bowling Club.
It is an historic night for the annual awards which is in its 30th year.
