Transferring to the country lifestyle

20 Nov, 2009 09:13 AM
Senior Constable Ben Honeybrook has settled for the quieter lifestyle of country policing, after accepting a

position to man the one man police station at Woodstock.

Formerly of Sydney, senior constable Honeybrook has spent six years in the police force.

“I started at Liverpool and then moved to Moree after three years,” he said.

“I decided to move to a small region and both my wife and I are enjoying it,” senior constable Honeybrook said.

The couple has recently had a baby and his wife, also a police office, is

looking to return to the workforce next year.

“We moved here for something

different.

“I started in a big station, then moved onto smaller at Moree and now very small.”

Senior Constable Honeybrook started in September this year and is on a three year tenure, but states they plan to stay indefinitely.

“We are enjoying it here and there is always work to do.”

Senior Constable Honeybrook is

stationed to Woodstock, but will help the Cowra station when needed.

“As the Woodstock Officer I want to keep the community safe and get to know the surroundings and people,” Senior Constable Honeybrook said.
