New Aussies take the oath

Cowra resident David Livingstone is one of Australia’s newest citizens after making his pledge to the country at the shire’s Australia Day Service.

Mayor Cr Bill West led Mr Livingstone and fellow new citizen Omani Nofoagatotoa in their pledges at the ceremony, before handing them their citizenship certificates and a commemorative gold coin.

Mr Livingstone said he should have become a citizen years ago.
