Setback for Redfern Street beautification
09 Aug 10 | Cowra Shire Council workers were busy cleaning up a southern section of Redfern Street last Friday morning after vandals ripped out hundreds of plants that Council planted as part of the beatification program for the area.

Driving a little piece of history

Many spend decades forking out money and painstakingly restoring a car built sometimes more than 80 years ago, with the hope that the car will run as it once did. Most restorations begin with the chassis, and from there the brakes, suspension, steering and engine, parts are sourced from all sorts of places and stored in the collectors’ private workshop.
First time author takes the prize
06 Aug 10 | There may have been 835 entries from 77 schools in The Sun-Herald Ultimate Story Competition but none of them could compare to Cowra High School’s Billy Robertson who was awarded first prize. It was a nice surprise the Year 9 student never expected when entering the competition.

Prior to the auction a garage sale of small nick knacks will commence at 9am.
